As someone who doesn't like stuff on my hands or wrists, the belt clip watch is a clear winner. It doesn't get in the way, it's always there, it's easy to read, and it takes abuse. Plus, it acts as a belt hook for holding bags and an LED. I wore my first Dakota watch every day for 4 years - when it finally died. I really missed it and didn't like going back to a wristwatch. I now have another. -- Best watch I've ever owned
This is a reasonably functional watch, with only one significant drawback: it's just too darn heavy. It is seriously heavy, way heavier than any other watch that I've had the chance to experience, and it's a burden. I really could not think of a reason for this to be as heavy as it is -- what were the manufacturers thinking, under what circumstances would it make sense to carry something like this around? It is built like a tank, and of course that's not all bad -- when I still carried this around, it withstood a fair amount of abuse. It just got too heavy to carry. I eventually found another Dakota product that I can also carry on my keyring rather than my wrist but that is much lighter; that one is durable and well-made, as is this one. But I won't carry this one again. -- Too darn heavy
